Eldora, Iowa, resident
elected to APHA Executive Committee

FORT WORTH, TEXAS—Gregg Reisinger of Eldora, Iowa, was recently elected to serve as the fifth committee member on the American Paint Horse Association’s (APHA) 2009 Executive Committee. His election, and second term on the Executive Committee, came during the Association’s recent 38th APHA Annual Convention in San Diego, Calif.

The Executive Committee on which Reisinger serves is the governing body that sets APHA policy and is responsible for the Association’s activities and fiscal integrity.

Reisinger got his start in the Paint Horse industry as a youth, when he worked as a buyer for his father’s auction company. Through the years, Reisinger has gained a reputation for turning out top Western and English pleasure Paint Horses. In 2006, he was the lifetime leading breeder of both halter point-earners and performance horses according to APHA’s Year-end Honor Roll. Reisinger has also served APHA in official capacities, including as a National Director for all but seven years since 1980.

Reisinger serves on an executive committee that includes President John Corbin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; President-Elect Linda Vance of Winlock, Wash.; Vice President Dr. Travis Titlow of Lincoln, Calif.; Senior Committee Member Scot Jackson of Stephenville, Texas; Sixth Committee Member Mary Parrott of Ruston, La.; and Immediate Past President Carl Thurow of Wichita, Kan.
