Ride a horse, rope in some fun at free Paint Horse Kids Day
Children who have always wanted to ride a horse will have the chance on May 16, when the American Paint Horse Foundation hosts its annual “Paint Horse Kids Day” at the YMCA Camp Carter Equestrian Center, 5900 Meandering Road, in Fort Worth.
The fun begins at 10 a.m. and continues to 4 p.m. All events are free and open to the public and include:
* Horseback rides.
* “Learn to rope” clinics.
* Meet “Paint Horse Pete,” the official Paint Horse mascot.
* Chuckwagon lunch.
* Musical entertainment by the Cowtown Opry & Buckaroo youth singers.
* Kid sing-alongs with the Cowtown Opry.
* Coloring booths.
* Tattoo stations.
* Face painting.
* Goodie bag surprises for all children.
* Lots of fun.
