| Explore “big sky country” with
the Montana Paint Horse Club
FORT WORTH, Texas—The Montana Paint Horse Club will host an exciting
trail ride in western Montana, June 8-10. Come explore “big sky
country” at the Rocking Z Ranch, an authentic working ranch in scenic
Wolf Creek. The Montana Paint Horse Club is one of 111 regional clubs
of the American Paint Horse Association (APHA.)
The ranch is located at the foot of the Mitchell Mountain, 13 miles
east of the Great Divide and 10 miles west of the Missouri River.
This setting offers stunning scenery and a variety of terrain. The
rides are taken through large, sagebrush-covered open areas, with
trails climbing 2,000 feet to reach the peaks and ridges of the Rocky
Mountains. This area of Montana is known for its abundant wildlife,
including deer, elk, bald eagles and even black and grizzly bears,
bobcats, coyotes and beaver.
A $50 reservation fee is due by May 1, with the remainder to be paid
by check-in. All breeds of horses and mules are welcome and everyone
is invited to participate.
