Lincoln, California, resident recently elected
vice president of APHA Executive Committee

FORT WORTH, TEXAS—Dr. Travis Titlow of Lincoln, Calif., was recently elected to serve as vice president of the American Paint Horse Association’s (APHA) 2009 Executive Committee. His election, and third term on the Executive Committee, came during the Association’s recent 38th APHA Annual Convention in San Diego, Calif.

The Executive Committee on which Titlow serves is the governing body that sets APHA policy and is responsible for the Association’s activities and fiscal integrity.

After a lifetime of involvement in the horse industry, Titlow and his family originally became involved with APHA in 1981 when they purchased their first Paint Horse. He and his wife, Lynn, began breeding Paint Horses in 1984, and today they have become one of the largest Paint Horse breeders in California. The Titlow’s breeding operation continues to produce quality Paint Horses, including two APHA Champion stallions.

Showing Paint Horses is also a family affair for the Titlows. Lynn and daughter, Marissa, both participate and have earned World and Reserve Championships, as well as multiple Honor Roll and state titles.

Today, Titlow is a strong proponent of welcoming new members to the world of American Paint Horses. He is also dedicated to ensuring that the American Paint Horse remains a strong and vibrant breed for the future.

Titlow serves on an executive committee that includes President John Corbin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; President-Elect Linda Vance of Winlock, Wash.; Senior Committee Member Scot Jackson of Stephenville, Texas; Fifth Committee Member Gregg Reisinger of Eldora, Iowa; Sixth Committee Member Mary Parrott of Ruston, La.; and Immediate Past President Carl Thurow of Wichita, Kan.
