The Executive Committee on which Reisinger serves is the governing body that sets APHA policy and is responsible for the association’s activities and fiscal integrity.
Reisinger got his start in the Paint Horse industry as a youth, when he worked as a buyer for his father’s auction company. Through the years, Reisinger has gained a reputation for turning out top-caliber Western and English pleasure Paint Horses. In 2006, he was the lifetime leading breeder of both halter point-earners and performance horses according to APHA’s Year-end Honor Roll. Reisinger has also served APHA in official capacities, including as a National Director for all but seven years since 1980.
Although he recently added to his association duties with his role as an executive committee member, Reisinger plans to continue breeding Paint Horses and he looks forward to the day his new granddaughter continues the family legacy by participating in her first APHA walk-trot class.
Reisinger serves on an executive committee that includes President Carl Thurow of Wichita, Kan.; President-Elect John Corbin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Vice President Linda Vance of Winlock, Wash.; Senior Committee Member Dr. Travis Titlow of Lincoln, Calif; Fifth Committee Member Scot Jackson of Stephenville, Texas; and Immediate Past President Richard Cox of Knightstown, Ind.
“My long-range goals as an executive committee member include promoting a culture with APHA that encourages long-term member participation and family enjoyment,” said Reisinger. “I look forward to hearing from the membership and communicating their ideas to the rest of the executive committee and association staff.”
