| APHA's World Showcase
Sale dates announced
FORT WORTH, TexasThe
American Paint Horse Association will hold its
2000 World Showcase Sales July 1-2, in conjunction
with the APHA World Championship Paint Horse
Show. The event is comprised of two sessions,
the Gelding Session and the Mare and Stallion
Session.
Featuring performance-bred
geldings of all ages, the Gelding Session will
be held Saturday, July 1. Limited to 50 head,
the sale begins at noon. The 1999 Gelding Sale
averaged $7,239, with TNTS Roan Ranger topping
the bidding at $23,500.
On Sunday, July 2, the Mare
and Stallion Session starts at 1 p.m. Limited
to 100 of the highest-quality mares and stallions,
the sale is the perfect venue to purchase your
next show horse or breeding animal. At the 1999
sale, mares averaged $8,383 and stallions averaged
$8,117. Hot Scotchs Fancy, a 1993 mare, topped
the sale at $55,000.
Both sessions will take place
in the West Sale Arena in the Richardson Bass
Building of the Will Rogers Complex in Fort
Worth, Texas. Prospective buyers can preview
sale horses in the John Justin Arena on the
morning prior to the start of each sale.
The APHA will accept consignments
for both sales until March 15. The consignment
fee for either sale is $350 plus a $75 stall
fee. Commission is 7 percent of the horse's
selling price.
