Boulet Western Boots becomes APHA World Show
sponsor
FORT WORTH, Texas- Boulet Western Boots, one of the oldest
and continuously owned Western boot manufacturers in the World,
is APHA's newest World Championship Paint Horse Show sponsor.
The company produces 1,200 pairs of boots daily at its manufacturing
facility in Saint Tite, Canada, said Andy Rees, Boulet's regional
sales manager in the United States.
"People who actually use their Western boots for practical
purposes are the types of customers we primarily sell to,"
explained Rees.
From rodeo to ranching to general working boots, Boulet crafts
footwear tailored to customers who are demanding on their
Western boots. "Our heritage is making boots for people
in ranching country," said Rees. "We know their
needs.
"We build boots the old-fashioned way. We use quality
material that can stand up to heavy use."
Its partnership with Boulet Western Boots will enable APHA
to boost its cash and prize offerings at the 2002 World Championship
Paint Horse Show. Currently, that offering totals about $400,000.
"Our affiliation with APHA helps us reach the type of
customers who will put our boots to good use - people who
are actually looking for a good boot that can hold up to the
demands horse people put on them," said Rees.
Jim Kelley, APHA executive secretary, said APHA's partnership
with Boulet Boots is beneficial not only because of the additional
support the company is offering to APHA, but also because
of the popularity of its product.
"Our members will appreciate the quality they get with
these boots. We're happy to partner with a company known not
only for the great looks of their boots, but for their quality
as well. A family owned business for generations, Boulet Western
Boots is a great fit with APHA, which has a 40-year tradition
of family enjoyment of Paint Horses."
