APHA World Show winners well heeled with Boulet

FORT WORTH, Texas— Boulet Western Boots, one of the oldest, continuously family-owned Western boot manufacturers in the world, is returning to the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) World Championship Paint Horse Show in Fort Worth, Texas, as a sponsor June 26–July 9.

Named the official boot of the event, the manufacturer will award premium boots to many top World Show competitors. Full-quill ostrich boots will be given to the winner of the All-Around Horse, as well as Amateur and Novice champions, and the High-Point Western Performance Horse winner.

Boulet is also awarding Western boots to the winners of the Reserve All-Around Horse, Amateur Novice, Youth 13 & Under, and Youth 14-18 titles. Other show participants will be awarded the Western boots as well, including the Super Gelding winner, the Oscar Crigler Cattle Award recipient, the High-Point Western Youth, first place in the Parents Western Pleasure class, and the Challenge Reserve Champions. Further recipients include all Open, Amateur, and Novice World Champions of approved Western Riding, Horsemanship, Trail, Western Pleasure, Speed, Cattle and Reining classes.

In 1933, Georges-Alidor Boulet established G.A. Boulet Incorporated. Specializing in the manufacture of Western boots, the company was located in St. Tite, Quebec, Canada, a city known for its quality labor.

Today, the company is managed in the same locale by the family’s third generation: Pierre, Guy, and Louis Boulet. With highly skilled employees, they maintain the tradition of excellence that makes the name Boulet synonymous with exceptional quality.

Boulet tailors the footwear it crafts to its primary market, Western customers, which a representative said APHA helps them reach. Equestrians need a product that can withstand the demands they put on them, something for which the company believes its boots well suited.

Although Boulet’s major product is Western boots, the business also manufactures laced boots, work boots, motorcycle boots, English riding boots and ankle boots. From these categories, customers can choose from more than 150 styles.
