| American Paint Horse Foundation
and New Holland Tractors work to plant new seeds
FORT WORTH, TEXAS—Author Robert Louis Stevenson once wrote, “Don’t
judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.”
Such is the inspiration for the newest arrangement between the
American Paint Horse Foundation (APHF) and New Holland.

The APHF is the charitable arm of the American Paint Horse
Association (APHA), headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. One of the
world’s fastest growing and most popular breed registries, APHA was
founded in 1962 and has a long, colorful history. The APHF recently
formed by a merger of APHA’s Youth Development Foundation and
Heritage Foundation, also enjoys a distinguished history.
Advancing the mission of the APHF—to support youth scholarships,
promote equine research and preserve the heritage of the American
Paint Horse—is a full-time venture with significant implications for
future generations of horses and the people who are associated with
them. For example, since the college scholarship program’s inception
in 1980, 450 scholarships have been awarded, totaling $448,500.
APHA’s newest corporate sponsor, New Holland, recently joined forces
with APHF to increase donations and create public awareness for the
charitable organization. Beginning Dec 5, 2006 and continuing through
July 7, 2007, New Holland and APHF will host the Donate & Draw program.
Each $100 donation to the APHF during that time offers donors the
opportunity to win a new Boomer Compact Tractor from New Holland.
Only the first 750 $100-donors will be eligible for the drawing of
the TC31DA with Supersteer capabilities and a 240 TL loader.
Funds generated through the Donate & Draw initiative will be used to
support the Foundation’s mission. APHF is a 501(c)(3) organization.
“This is a unique opportunity for the Foundation to continue its
growth with the support of one of our corporate sponsors,” said APHA
Executive Director Lex Smurthwaite. “In our discussion with New
Holland, they were very interested in being involved with all aspects
of the association. This initiative is truly a win-win-win situation.
New Holland, the membership and the Foundation all have an
opportunity to benefit.”

drawing will be held July 7, 2007 in Fort Worth, Texas.
