Boulet Western Boots provides top-notch boots to World Show winners

FORT WORTH, Texas—Boulet Western Boots, a longtime, family-owned Western boot manufacturer, is proud to return as a sponsor for the 2006 World Championship Paint Horse Show, set for June 25–July 8 in Fort Worth, Texas.

From rodeo to ranching to general work boots, Boulet crafts footwear for customers who demand the most from their boots. With many years of bootmaking experience, Boulet understands its customers’ needs.

Boulet boots are manufactured using the traditional Goodyear Welt process. Through this process, the sole is stitched to the welt, which is itself stitched to the vamp and the insole. The result is a quality product, recognized by discerning customers looking for comfortable footwear.

In addition, Boulet carefully selects its raw materials to ensure its boots have fine quality, yet are still comfortable and durable. The company pays particular attention to the leathers used (cowhide, beaver tail, goat skin, deer skin and certain exotics, such as python, lizard and ostrich), which are produced by tanneries in Canada, the United States and Europe.

Although Boulet’s major product is Western boots, the company also manufactures laced boots, work boots, motorcycle boots, English riding boots and ankle boots—all with Goodyear Welt construction. Customers can choose from more than 150 different styles.

Boulet’s work force is made up of nearly 165 employees, each with an average of 15 years experience—a testament to the company’s reputation for high quality. Boulet continually invests in employee training to ensure exceptional workmanship.

In support of this year’s World Show, Boulet will award full-quill ostrich boots to the owner of the winner of the All-Around Horse title, as well as the Amateur and Novice All-Around champion exhibitors and the owner of the High-Point Western Performance Horse.

Boulet is also awarding Western boots to the winners of the Reserve All-Around Horse, Amateur Novice, Youth 13 & Under and Youth 14–18 titles. Other show participants who will be awarded Western boots include the owner of the Super Gelding and the Oscar Crigler Cattle Award recipient, the High-Point Western Youth winner, the first-place winner in the Parents Western Pleasure class and the Challenge Reserve Champions. Further recipients include all Open, Amateur and Novice world champions of approved Western riding, horsemanship, trail, Western pleasure, speed, cattle and reining classes.

In the early 1960s, the second generation of Boulets—Roger, Reynald and Robert—began managing the company and growing its reputation. Today, Boulet, Inc. is managed by the family’s third generation: Pierre, Guy and Louis Boulet. With highly skilled employees, they maintain the tradition of excellence that makes the name Boulet synonymous with high quality.
