Pro Orthopedic returns as corporate sponsor of APHA's World Show

FORT WORTH, Texas—For the second year in a row, the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) welcomes Pro Orthopedic Devices Inc. as a sponsor of its World Championship Paint Horse Show, set for June 25–July 8 in Fort Worth, Texas.

During the company’s first year of involvement with the World Show, Pro Orthopedic President Gerry Detty said he was pleased with the exposure.
“We were absolutely overwhelmed with the response we received from the exhibitors,” Detty said. “The reaction to our awards products would have made an excellent product commercial. The level of questions, knowledge and general understanding of the membership speaks highly for the APHA.”

Pro is most noted for their human orthopedic sports medicine braces and supports. The company is a pioneer in the use of neoprene rubber for sports medicine products. Pro products can be found in every athletic training room in the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball. In addition, Pro does significant business with colleges, universities, physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons.

“The stress placed on products in the highly competitive sports arena is such that quality is of the utmost importance,” Detty said. “Pro has a reputation for, and is generally acknowledged as building the best products in the marketplace.”

Pro manufactures all of their products, both human and equine in their Tucson, Arizona, headquarters. An extensive research, design and development program is also conducted at the same facility. Pro is proud to say their products are still made with pride in the United States.

“While most of our competitors are sourcing their products offshore, that scenario will not work for us,” Detty said. “Our primary concern is not price, but quality. Importing simply does not allow us to maintain the standards our customers have come to expect from Pro.”

Pro will be supplying splint boots to the world champions in all classes, as well as saddle pads for all-around and high-point award winners and champions of the challenge an sweepstakes classes.
