The Executive Committee on which Vance serves is the governing body that sets APHA policy and is responsible for the association’s activities and fiscal integrity.

Vance first became involved with APHA to support her daughter’s horse show career. For the past 20 years she has also served in various capacities at both the local and regional levels of the association, including president of the Washington State Paint Horse Club and service with APHA’s Northwest Coordinating Committee. This committee assists clubs in the Pacific Northwest with showing and promotion of the breed.

For her exemplary work and active role in promoting the American Paint Horse breed, Vance was awarded her local APHA zone’s highest member honor in 2005—the Distinguished Service Award.

Today, Vance maintains a deep commitment to advancing the American Paint Horse breed and welcoming new members to the organization. She has also dedicated her service toward educating people on the value of being actively involved with Paint Horses and APHA.

Vance is joined on an executive committee that includes President-elect Dr. Travis Titlow of Lincoln, Calif.; Vice President Scot Jackson of Stephenville, Texas; Senior Committee Member Gregg Reisinger of Eldora, Iowa; Fifth Committee Member Mary Parrott of Ruston, La.; Sixth Committee Member Ron Shelly of Georgetown, Texas and Immediate Past President John Corbin of Colorado Springs, Colo.
