Requirements:

• Participants must be current APHA or AjPHA members and must maintain membership for the entire time during which hours are recorded toward a recognition level.• Submit an enrollment application (PDF) and one-time enrollment fee of $25 per horse/rider combination.

• Ride or drive an American Paint Horse—Regular or Breeding Stock Registry.

• Participants do not have to own the horse.

• Time may be recorded for any activity in which you participate by riding or driving. You can also log time spent in the saddle or cart while riding in a group or parade.

• Participants must maintain a separate log on each registered American Paint Horse enrolled.

• Keep track of time (one hour for each hour actually spent riding or driving) on the Official Ride America Time Log.

• All time figured is on a one-horse/ one-rider basis and is
on the honor system.

• Earn double hours by riding in national and state parks,
grasslands or historic areas, as recognized by the U.S. or
Canadian National Parks Service (2 hours of credit for
every hour ridden).

• Earn double hours on Official APHA Trail Rides.

• Participants are responsible for submitting Ride America
Time Logs to the association in order to earn awards.

Upon request, press releases will be distributed to the Ride America participant's local media at the 5,000-, 7,500- and 10,000-hour achievement levels. APHA reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value for those listed above.
